"Inspiring Hope"

Our Journey

DaMaC's story is one of growth, compassion, and dedicated service to vulnerable communities across Uganda.

April 2021

The Beginning

DaMaC was founded by Mr. Dan Magandazi during the challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our first outreach took place on April 21st, 2021, when we distributed COVID-19 relief to over 20 families and provided essential clothing to more than 40 children at Katubwe Gospel Church in Wakiso, Uganda.

July 2023

Continued Growth & Outreach

DaMaC returned to Katubwe Village to host a clothing donation event that benefited over 80 children. With the support of generous donors, the charity provided new and gently used clothing to these children, many of whom had never experienced the joy of receiving new garments from abroad.

2023

Leadership Expansion

Mr. Kiryowa Deo joined as co-founder, strengthening DaMaC's leadership and vision. Together with a dedicated team of volunteers, they continued to build a foundation committed to inspiring hope and bringing positive change to communities in Uganda.

March 2024

Expanded Community Impact

DaMaC organized a community clothing outreach in Katubwe Village, where over 200 residents received clothing donated by generous supporters in Dubai. The event took place at Katubwe Gospel Church, benefiting men, women, and children in the community.

August 2024

Community Engagement Initiatives

DaMaC held a community engagement event in Bbanda town, beginning with a cleanup effort of the Bbanda Town Center in partnership with the Sipimo Foundation. The day continued with a friendly football match between the DaMaC team and Bbanda community residents, and included the donation of footballs to the PAXX Soccer Academy. Later that day, clothing was distributed to over 500 residents of the Bbanda community.

September 18, 2024

Official Registration

DaMaC officially registered and was certified by the Uganda Registration Services Bureau. The organization's name was changed from Dan Hope Foundation (DHF) to Dan Magandazi Charity Organization (DaMaC), reflecting the essence of our mission and commitment to transparency and accountability.

December 2024

Christmas Charity Outreach

For Christmas 2024, DaMaC extended a heartwarming outreach to about 50 newborn babies and their mothers at Wakiso Health 4 in Wakiso District. Newborns received baby bedsheets, offering comfort and warmth, while mothers received packages of basic foodstuffs to support their wellbeing as they cared for their newborns.

Looking Ahead

Vision for 2035

DaMaC aims to establish the DaMaC Vocational Training Center in vulnerable communities of Uganda, addressing critical issues related to unemployment, poverty, and lack of access to quality education. This initiative seeks to empower individuals, particularly youth and women, with skills needed for sustainable employment or entrepreneurship.

Our Vision for the Future

Looking ahead to 2035, we are committed to expanding our impact through sustainable initiatives that create lasting change.

DaMaC Vocational Training Center

By 2035, DaMaC aims to establish a comprehensive Vocational Training Center in Uganda's most vulnerable communities to address critical issues of unemployment, poverty, and limited access to quality education.

Our Motto: Skills for Life

Empowering Through Education

The center will equip youth and women with practical skills in various trades, including fashion design, mobile and computer repair, cosmetology, electrical installation, welding, plumbing, and more.

Economic Independence

Through affordable tuition and flexible payment plans, we'll make quality vocational training accessible, leading to employment opportunities and entrepreneurship development within the community.

Community Transformation

Beyond individual benefits, the center will foster collaboration between learners, local businesses, and community stakeholders, creating a hub for innovation and development.

Through this initiative, we aim to reduce unemployment, enhance self-reliance, and contribute to the overall development and well-being of vulnerable communities across Uganda.
